Samiza Palmer is one of the Research Assistants at the Center for Autism Research. She attended the University of Pennsylvania where she obtained her BA in Biology along with minors in Africana Studies and Bioethics. Ms. Palmer works primarily on the SPARK Study, a Simons Foundation sponsored national study of autism and genetics, and is heavily involved in recruitment and specimen collection. She is also the primary RA involved in implementing the supplemental grant for the SPARK Study which seeks to engage more minority and underserved populations in genetic and ASD research as a whole. In the future, Ms. Palmer plans to attend medical school to become a pediatric surgeon.
