Clinical Psychologist

Maya Mosner, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Center for Autism Research. Dr. Mosner worked as a clinical research assistant at CAR before earning her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her graduate studies, she conducted numerous research projects involving neuroimaging and behavioral techniques to examine a variety of topics in ASD, including the neurobiological mechanisms, co-occurring disorders, and treatment response in ASD. Dr. Mosner completed her APA-accredited clinical psychology internship at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., before returning to CAR. She currently serves in a primarily clinical role on the Infant Brain Imaging Study, conducting clinical and diagnostic evaluations for infants, toddlers, and school-age children with and without ASD, as well as individuals with Down Syndrome, in addition to supervising trainees and research staff and engaging in other clinical research responsibilities.
