Lucero Cordero is currently a research assistant at The Center for Autism Research (CAR) where she is testing the Bio stream video games for higher functioning children with autism. However, she is personally very interested in working with children and adults with lower functioning autism or autism and intellectual disability. At 12 years old her younger brother, Leonardo was diagnosed with ASD. She got really involved in helping her mother care for him. Ms. Cordero graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2017, where she majored in Neuroscience and minored and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She recently sat for her MCAT and is applying to medical school to hopefully matriculate in Fall2019. She wants to become a developmental pediatrician to continue to work with children with ASD and their families.
