Lauren Steinbeck, Psy.D. is a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Autism Research. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University where she worked primarily with children and adolescents and their families. She was a practicum student at CAR while earning her doctorate and worked with the Lurie Family Foundations MEG Imaging Center team. Dr. Steinbeck completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Intercommunity Action, Inc. in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia. She then completed a one-year neuropsychology fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital Lurie Center for Autism in Lexington, Massachusetts. Dr. Steinbeck currently works with the Infant Synchrony team at CAR, whose research focuses on early developmental assessment and clinical phenotyping of infants and toddlers, including siblings of children diagnosed with ASD. Dr. Steinbeck’s clinical interests more broadly include working with individuals with comorbid selective mutism and ASD.
