Clinical Psychologist

Laura Soskey Cubit, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Center for Autism Research (CAR). Dr. Cubit earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Rochester, where she worked primarily with autistic children and adolescents and their families, in both clinical and research settings. She completed her APA-accredited clinical psychology internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia before joining CAR to complete her postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. Cubit currently serves in a primarily clinical role on several research teams at CAR, including conducting clinical characterization evaluations with study participants of a wide range of ages, supervising clinical trainees and research staff, and other clinical research responsibilities. Her clinical work focuses on developmental and diagnostic assessment with children from infancy through adolescence and their families, with specialization in autism and commonly co-occurring developmental and mental health conditions.
