Evangelos Sariyanidi, PhD, is Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Autism Research. Dr. Sariyanidi received his PhD in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London. Dr. Sariyanidi is specialized in developing and applying computer vision and machine learning techniques, and his research focuses on the automatic quantification of facial movements. The research of Dr. Sariyanidi at the Center for Autism Research involves using computer vision techniques for the automated analysis of autism from behavior. To the latter end, Dr. Sariyanidi uses techniques that he developed as part of his PhD work as well as other state-of-the-art human behavior quantification and machine learning techniques.
