Museums in the Philadelphia Area
Please Touch Museum
Distance: 2.5 miles
The Please Touch Museum is an interactive museum where children can learn as they play. Each exhibit encourages exploration through seeing, hearing and touching. Children can experience "adult" activities, such as grocery shopping and driving. Children of all ages will enjoy the exhibits and shows that the museum has to offer.

Adventure Aquarium
Distance: 5.6 miles

The Aquarium in Camden can be easily accessed by the Riverlink Ferry. The ferry leaves from the Penn's Landing area and crosses the Delaware River to Camden, NJ. The ride is about 12 minutes. Roundtrip tickets cost $6 adults, $5 Seniors, $4 Children (2-12) and are free for children under 2.

The Franklin Institute Science Museum
Distance: 1.4 miles
Interested in Science? Come visit one of the oldest and premier centers of science education and development in the United States. The center houses many exciting exhibits. "Franklin...He's Electric" is a hands-on showcase of Benjamin Franklin's lightning rod technology. "The Train Factory" has a real, moving train and "The Giant Heart" features a larger than life model of a human heart that you can actually walk through. These are just a sampling of the permanent exhibits which are housed here in addition to a number of traveling exhibits.

Philadelphia Museum of Art
Distance: 1.5 miles

The Gardens at Morris Arboretum
Distance: 14 miles/30 minute drive
The Morris Arboretum is a public garden of the University of Pennsylvania that brings together art, science and the humanities. The gardens are made up of 92 acres that contain thousands of rare and lovely woody plants, including some of Philadelphia's oldest, rarest, and largest trees.

Ride the Ducks
Distance: 2.4 miles
From March to October, you can experience Philadelphia sightseeing fun from a duck's eye view on Philadelphia's original duck tour. Travel on land and water in one amazing vehicle. Tour historic Philadelphia and SPLASH into the Delaware River at Penn's Landing. Ride The Ducks is the fun thing to do in Philadelphia.
Sightseeing tours last about 70-80 minutes with about 20 minutes of that time on the Delaware River. Tours pass by many of the important points of history and current event sites to give you an overview of the area. Please note that riders may get wet on this tour.

Hours: Tours generally leave every half hour.
Admission: If you plan to wait to purchase your tickets once you get to the city, you can do so at a ticket kiosk located one block south of the boarding location at 6th and Chestnut streets or inside the Independence Visitor Center. Tickets can also be purchased online or by phone (877-887-8225) in advance to ensure you get a seat on the tour of your choice.

Once Upon a Nation

Once Upon A Nation is a unique Philadelphia attraction that brings history to life. Liberty Bell Center
