Dr. Friedlaender is a child advocate at the Center for Autism Research. Her work focuses on access to and delivery of quality services to children with autism spectrum disorders.

In addition, she is an Attending Physician in the Emergency Department at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Friedlaender completed formal training in Child Advocacy and Injury Prevention through an NIH training grant, during which time she earned a Masters in Public Health. She has investigated patterns of healthcare utilization by victims of child maltreatment, studied risk factors for injuries within the built environment, and served as Principal Investigator of the Injury Free Coalition for Kids in Philadelphia.
