Alana McVey

Alana is a clinical research assistant working on the study of Biobehavioral Markers of Anxiety in Autism Spectrum Disorders. This study seeks to understand how children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) experience anxiety differently. Alana graduated with honors from Loyola University Chicago in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. Before coming to CAR, she volunteered with young children with ASD, and worked in several research labs, including an fMRI study at Temple University evaluating the neurological correlates of risk-taking and decision-making behaviors among adolescents. She plans to apply for a doctorate in clinical psychology in the fall of 2013.
