Brenna Maddox

Brenna is a psychology intern on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) track and a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) fellow at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The majority of her clinical training has been within a community-based clinic, an ASD clinic, and a specialty child study center. Prior to graduate school, she worked for two years in a residential treatment center for youth with neurodevelopmental disorders, co-occurring medical problems, and high levels of aggression and self-injury. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Virginia Tech. Brenna's doctoral research has focused on ASD and commonly co-occurring difficulties, such as anxiety and emotion dysregulation. In addition to her assessment and intervention rotations at CAR, she assists with consultation services at CHOP. In the spring of 2015, Brenna will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team at the Regional Autism Clinic. Later in 2015, Brenna will join CAR full-time as a post-doctoral fellow.
