Ashley deMarchena

Dr. de Marchena is a post-doctoral fellow at the Center for Autism Research. She received her doctorate from the University of Connecticut with concentrations in Neuropsychology and Child Clinical Psychology. Dr. de Marchena completed her clinical internship at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, with rotations in the Regional Autism Center, Center for Management of ADHD, Anxiety Behaviors Clinic, and Sleep Center. Her clinical interests include early detection of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as comorbidity between ASD and other psychiatric conditions, such as anxiety and ADHD. Dr. de Marchena’s research interests are focused on communication skills in ASD, in particular the interplay between complex communicative processes (e.g., pragmatic language) and more basic cognitive and motivational factors.
