Amanda Bennett, MD



Dr. Bennett is a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and director of the Autism Speaks Autism Treatment Network Philadelphia site. She is a clinical consultant for the Center for Autism Research, collaborating on developmental assessments for children with or at risk of having an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disability. She has also served as principal investigator for clinical trials related to ASD in children.

She earned her medical degree at Marshall University School of Medicine in 2002 and completed her general pediatric training at Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children and Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine in 2005. She completed her Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics training at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in June 2008 and earned a Masters in Public Health at The University of Pennsylvania in 2009.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Bennett assesses children suspected of having an Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as children with known genetic syndromes, specifically Fragile X Syndrome, and other cognitive or developmental disabilities.
